Tooth whitening

How does Tooth whitening work?
After a consultation to establish your teeth and gums are healthy, we start by talking a dental impression which gets sent to our dental lab for your bespoke trays to be made.
Your clinician will then give you a set of syringes filled with prescription bleaching gel (safe for your teeth and gums) and you'll wear your trays for the prescribed amount of time at home.
You will have regular reviews to make sure you are happy with the results.
After your treatment is completed you can keep your trays for future top-ups.
Is tooth whitening suitable for everyone?
Most patients are suitable for whitening, but we do recommend a consultation to discuss this.
Unfortunately tooth whitening is illegal for under 18s and we do not recommend whitening if you are a smoker.
Why should I get my teeth whitened at the dentist?
The dentist is the safest and only legal way to whiten your teeth. Professional whitening means the dentist can prescribe the highest strength bleaching gel for you, yet adjust it if it causes any problems.
Can you whiten veneers, crowns or fillings?
No, the whitening gel can only lighten natural teeth. A tailored treatment plan can be made if its suitable to replace fillings, crowns, etc. to match your new whiter, natural teeth.
